Monumental Historical Buildings – Tested by the Time

Monumental Historical Buildings – Tested by the Time

This world is a great place to live in, especially if you know where to go to abstract away from the routine of everyday life. Our today showcase of monumental buildings is a collection of the greatest architectural masterpieces ever created on this planet. It was compiled for all those who wish to discover the historical world within the modern one, and with a thought of the skilled artists and masters who succeeded to build such mightiness that lasts thousands of generations and withstands the affects of weather, time, and human kind.

It is not that modern architecture is inferior in any way to the ancient and historical one; however, it still has to pass its first and the most important test with time to be able to compete with it. Some of the building in this showcase were once or supposed to be residential palaces, as the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City, China; New Swan Stone Castle in Germany; the Prague castle; the famous Romanian Vlad the Impaler’s Bran Castle, etc. Some others, as Stonehenge in the UK or Taj Mahal in India are religious or even mystique buildings, often associated in our minds with the higher power, with almightiness, with the unquestionable truth and universal knowledge. Others are now homes for modern governments; however, all of them can generally be called the embodiment of the perfection architecture should always strive for.
