Signs of Spring

Sunday, March 20 was the vernal equinox -- the first day of spring -- when the northern hemisphere of our planet begins to tilt toward the sun, bringing warmer weather to billions. Now people, plants, and animals are beginning to emerge from their winter modes -- stepping outside, blooming, and otherwise welcoming the sunshine.
