Catherine nelson is amazing artist which take the art into new world and here you can see the world from the eye of artist. When Catherine Nelson embraced the medium of photography she felt that taking a picture representing only what was within the frame of the lens wasn’t expressing her personal and inner experience of the world around her. With the eye of a painter and with years of experience as a digital artist in the film industry she would look for ways of taking her photographs to another level. Catherine Nelson trained as a painter and has a background in digital postproduction. Before moving back into the field of fine art she worked on many acclaimed films including Moulin Rouge, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 300 and Australia.

Carnival Of Venice

The Carnival of Venice is an annual festival, held in Venice, Italy. The Carnival starts around two weeks before Ash Wednesday (dependent on the date of Easter) and ends on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday.

 

3D Street Art By Kurt Wenner

Kurt Wenner born in Ann Arbor, Michigan is an artist best known for his realistic street painting and chalk murals using a projection called anamorphosis. These 3D chalk drawings on pavement have been featured in many newspapers and on several television shows.(WIKI)

Kurt Wenner attended Rhode Island School of Design and Art Center College of Design before working for NASA as an advanced scientific space illustrator. Wenner eventually left NASA for Italy in order to pursue his love of classical art.

To be honest,it is really hard to describe this kind of art and i think we have to respect Kurt Wenner for such a street art.Thanks Kurt for opening our eyes wide.

Stunning Wall Murals by Eric Grohe

New York born Eric Grohe creates spectacular and vividly realistic wall murals and architectural facades, transforming ordinary spaces into panoramic works of beauty, depth and inspiration. Grohe uses a special German paint called keim mineral paint which can last 130 years. Each mural can take several months with Grohe enjoying every brush stroke. "Every project is a grand adventure, if passion for the work and inspiration are your guides," he said. Some of the murals he has painted reach 3,600ft.

Eric Alan Grohe was born in New York City in 1944. His professional career as a graphic designer and illustrator began in Seattle in 1961. In 1973, he was asked to design graphics for Expo’74 in Spokane, Washington. At this time, he began receiving commissions for his artwork, which have continued to grow in scope and size, leading to today’s large-scale trompe l’oeil murals. Throughout his 43-year career as a professional artist, Grohe has received national recognition for his work, which is now focused on painting figurative and architectural murals for clients throughout the country

Tilt-Shifted Van Gogh's Paintings

The visually stunning field of tilt-shift photography became a fairly big thing in the Web a couple of years ago. It uses a special lens that gives a real-world scene the illusion of being a miniature model. You've probably seen examples by now.

The guys over at Artcyclopedia decided to simulate this effect on the works of Vincent van Gogh. Using Photoshop they adjusted the photograph's contrast, colour saturation and depth of focus to produce some really stunning and amusing results.

One of the first post I published here was a post with some great 3D sidewalk art which is one of the coolest things I'd seen by then. Recently I came across a photo of a 3D sidewalk painting made by Michael Qi, a great artist from China. After some digging I found his website with lots of great art and decided to share it, so here it is.

If the world keeps churning

Tran Nguyen was born in 1987 in Vietnam, and raised in Augusta, Georgia where she attended the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2009 Tran received a BFA in Illustration from the University and still calls Georgia home. Tran is fascinated with creating work that can be used as a sort of psycho-therapeutic support vehicle, exploring the mind’s surreal dreamscape and subconscious desire. Her delicate work is greatly inspired by the Art Nouveau period and is created with colored pencil, graphite and thin glazes of highly diluted acrylic paint all in a muted palette that perfectly showcases her romanticized subject matter.
